1 - epistemic beliefs are the sets of beliefs that students have about knowledge itself, and the way we acquire it. 2- it would incredibly hard to teach a class using consistent strategies, and some students would never properly absorb information because they would not change the way in which they tried to acquire the information.
1) beliefs held about the nature of knowledge or the way we pursue knowledge.
2) Finding a way to teach the class as a whole would be difficult. You would have to split the class into sections depending on how the child learned. Also, it would be nearly impossible for the children to learn information in a new way, a way that may be easier depending on the subject.

2) Students would never have the ability to build upon prior knowledge and vary the ways in which they obtain it. They would remain very limited in their knowledge sets and both teacher and students would experience great frustration without being able to get past a certain concept or idea.
