1.     What
are covert strategies (knowing/understanding)?
2.     What
kind of covert strategies do you or will you use in your classroom, how will
you implement these strategies and how will you stress the importance of covert
strategies in your classroom (memory/apply)?

1. Covert strategies are learning strategies that involve only mental activity and thus aren't reflected in a learner's observable behavior (e.g., forming a visual image of a new concept).
ReplyDelete2. I will use covert strategies by providing a list of objectives and the key concepts and relationships on the board each day. This will provide my students who have disabilities with a clear and concise schedule for the day/week and an easy-to-follow organizer for learning and studying material. I will stress the important of this strategy by reminding the students to frequently check the board and copy down the objectives to stay on track.
Gabrielle,
I like the way you first asked us to define covert strategies, and then proceeded to have us apply the definition to our real lives as an authentic question.
